Lingshui: On day two of the 2023 China Badminton Super League (CBSL), some exciting matches got the badminton fans hyped up.

The most thrilling action of the day was the match-up between World No. 3 Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan (from the Ruichang team) and World No. 9 Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang (from the Shenzhen team) after both teams went down to the wire at 2-2 and these two top men’s doubles pairs would battle it out for the winner.

Highlights of Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan vs. Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang At 2023 China Badminton Super League (CBSL):

In the first game, Liang/Wang were playing aggressively while Setiawan/Ahsan started making more mistakes at the end of the game to go down 5-11 in the first game.

At the beginning of the second game, the two sides fought fiercely, and after 7-7, Setiawan/Ahsan took advantage of Liang/Wang’s mistakes to win the second game 11-8.

Liang/Wang used their speed to attack and intercept quickly near the net and won the third game 11-8, before applying the same tactic in the fourth game to pick up the 11-7 win. The victory allowed Shenzhen to narrowly beat Ruichang with an overall score of 3-2.

The match between Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan Lose To Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang showed that players with more powerful attacks and faster speed have a clear advantage in the 11×5 scoring format.

Xiamen team vs. Hunan team

Meanwhile, the star-studded Xiamen team which was also perceived as the heavy favorite to win the 2023 CBSL, had no problem seeing off the Hunan team 4-1 on Monday.

Xiamen’s only loss came from World No. 27 Weng Hongyang when he was upset by Wang Zhengxing of Hunan. Weng was completely not in his rhythm and lost in three straight games 5-11, 4-11, and 8-11.
